You will be impressed with the sound quality and controls of this speaker. I thought the little handheld, box type, desk speakers I own were great quality, but this speaker really is nothing like those! The sound to me is similar to surround sound; deep and crisp. Setup took some time going through the instructions but I figured it all out using the instructions. I like that it comes with a carrying strap but I don't see myself using it as I like the permanence of having it placed in one area of my house. This speaker is LOUD and I will definitely be able to hear it around my apartment without needing to move it from room to room.

The app is great and I was very happy with the content in the app, I'm glad it's not a useless settings app taking up space on my phone. There are radio stations, podcasts, device music and also the ability to merge other music services like Spotify. I'm not too thrilled that Amazon is not included, but this review is not soley regarding the app.

I gave 3 stars because I cannot get Amazon Alexa to work! I keep getting an error code after putting in my login info on the login screen. I've attached a screenshot of that message. I've tried logging out, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, disconnecting and reconnecting the wifi, signing in using a different Amazon account. Having the Alexa control is one of the major selling points on why I purchased such an expensive speaker, so I expect that to be the most seamless setup and use with only needing to sign in to my account.You would like these bluetooth speakers.

Also, I don't like that the sound can only be controlled on my phone while inside the app when listening to music and radio with the app over WiFi. Meaning, if I am playing a song in the app, and leave the app to browse the web for example, I find that I can't press the up or down button on my phone to change the volume, when I do, it will adjust the cellphone ring tone volume but not the speaker volume. I have to go back into the app and then change the volume using my phone's controls, or use the external volume buttons on the speaker. Someone from the company emailed me and told me that's "..because Apple and Android use different streaming technology, one is Airplay, the other is DLNA."

This is by far the best wireless speaker I have ever used. There's a lot to praise here, but i'll keep it short and give you the important things you should know. It is a best speaker among portable bluetooth speakers.

Design
- I got the black version with the brown leather strap, and it's a beauty to look at. The slick brown strap over the clean black look of the speaker really works well together. It's not very heavy and it's easy to carry around. I also love the dials on the top to change bass and treble. It would've been easy to make them buttons, but I'm glad they went with dials because they look great and work very well with the design.

Sound
- Very clear (even at the highest volume) and very loud. I have one that's about 3 times the size of this that doesn't sound as loud. I really wanna open this little guy and figure out what's inside it, because it shouldn't be this amazingly loud. Another thing to point out here is that the bass is incredible, this thing will start shaking your table if you turn the bass all the way up and play the right song. It's very impressive what this can do.
